NovThe band logo

by entropiconThere are several hurdles to jump when putting together a musical dynasty. The band name, the musical differences and of course who gets to sing the songs. These difficulties often take precedent over the songs themselves, leaving many a band #fail.
Well, I’m currently dealing with all these issues internally, and being as schizophrenic as I can to make the right decisions. Another hurdle that I have struggled with is the band logo. Once you have a name, you need to decide how it will appear.
Having created the band and the original logo years ago, I felt it was time for a change. Anyway, I was quite happy when I came up with a draft idea and knocked it up quickly in illustrator.
So, here is a work in progress, but something that will soon be gracing the website. (please forgive the stock symbols, they will go
) The aspects I am most happy with are the font idea and the ruin concept. It is by no means finished, but it now gives me two logo ideas to play with. The other, older and more formal, is nice but I now have something new to play with.

Octinudge tone matrix

by entropiconThere is an interesting little app over here. I’m not too sure how, or if, I will use it, but along with a few other sites around this let’s you create some music, and anything that does that is good in my book.
inudge gives you 8 x 16 step sequencers to play around with. You can mix them up and then share your creations just like this… although you may not want to keep it looping for too long.

JanMusic revelation
This post currently has no comments.
by entropiconFollowing on from what I mentioned yesterday about having more music on the hard drive than I thought… well I have found even more. I found a whole lot of music that I had no idea I had got so far with. While that is good it is also a little worrying that I hadn’t managed to keep track of it.
I have now put it into a central folder, that will be regularly backed up, and I will continue to crack away on shaping them from the rough demo state they are now in, to completed tracks. I had a goal to make them available last year, that goal is still live, even if it is at a later date. Now if I can make a decision on where to store them online I’ll be fine. I need a flickr for audio… perhaps odeo, we’ll see.
